Republican Candidate for Oregon's 2nd Congressional District
RESTORING POWER WHERE IT BELONGS — WITH YOU, THE VOTER
I was born in the small town of Lebanon, Oregon, and just like the six generations that came before me, I've spent most of my life in small, rural towns across our great state. Growing up, I was taught that hard work, faith, and family come first. From being a rodeo queen and barrel racer to breaking horses and shoveling manure, I learned the value of grit and responsibility — It’s the foundation of who I am today.
I'm a progressive Republican running for Congress because it’s time for a representative who will show up, meet with constituents, sit down with community members, listen to our needs, and carry our voices all the way to Washington D.C. I’m committed to defending the working class, protecting healthcare, strengthening agricultural and local industries, expanding broadband, standing up for veterans, and building an economy that works for people who work hard.
I’ve seen firsthand how people across our towns and cities are struggling. Wages are not keeping up with the cost of living. Families and singles work long hours and multiple jobs just to pay for childcare, groceries, rent, and every day, bare minimum necessities. Local businesses struggle to survive while people wonder how they’ll make ends meet. From small rural towns to the growing urban areas of Congressional District 2 (CD 2), too many Oregonians feel left behind, and the economy seems to reward the wealthy rather than working-class people. One of the biggest reasons? Politicians on both sides of the aisle have lost touch with the people they’re supposed to represent. I’ve long been forgotten about and so have you. Instead of listening, these politicians chase wealth, power, and influence. If they even bother to meet with community members, they talk at us, instead of sitting down with us. Many refuse to even meet with us. They don’t understand what working families and singles are really facing, and frankly, the majority of them don’t seem interested in learning.
Take a look at how much money politicians have raised — most are sitting on hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars in donations from big corporations, wealthy special interest and political groups that don’t represent the values of the people they claim to serve. Too many politicians sell out to corporate donors and take checks from groups like AIPAC, putting outside interests ahead of the working people of Congressional District 2.
I'm not a career politician. I'm a wife, a mother, a community member, and a fighter. I’ve done the demanding work my entire life, and now I’m ready to protect and defend the people of Eastern and Southern Oregon. It's time for leadership that listens, acts, and serves. Together, we can build a future where our communities stop struggling, where wages and opportunity catch up with the cost of living, and where every constituent of CD2 is finally heard and represented. I also want to be honest with you; I will only make promises I can commit to and follow through on. I’ll stand up for us and push for meaningful change and won’t offer you empty slogans. I will however, offer you my integrity, my work ethic, and my word that I’ll advocate for Southern and Eastern Oregon every day.
